Jeff Hansen (IZM) was born on Long Island, New York where music consistently played a big part of his youth.  Whether he was collecting records, tapes, and CDs, making mix-tapes for friends and crushes on his dual cassette recorder, or singing in his High School/College Choir, and being honored as “best singer” in his graduating class, Jeff Hansen has always been immersed in music.  In the mid 90’s, Jeff furthered his musical journey into DJing; around the same time Izm also pursued his passion for performing in bands, curating events, promoting parties, and traveling, which still stays true til this day.  Izm currently holds a 5+ year Wednesday residency upstairs at Pianos in the L.E.S of Manhattan with his “Partysharks NYC" brand, as well as moving dance floors and hyping up dinner/brunch crowds where he provides the perfect music backdrop to any occasion at some of the most notable nightlife spots in New York City.  Aside from igniting dance-floors as DJ Izm, Jeff also spearheaded a new business, IZMDJS in 2017, in which he helps design and direct the music programs for restaurants such as La Esquina NYC, an iconic Soho institution known for great Mexican fare, a vast Tequila and Mezcal list, sexy atmosphere, and a roster of the finest DJs from NYC and around the world. Izm consults on hand picking the best DJs 7 nights a week for the flagship location in Soho, as well as several nights a week at each of the taqueria locations in Midtown and UES of Manhattan.
